Menopause Support - help to manage symptoms naturally

Menopause can be a difficult time for many women.  It can give rise to uncomfortable symptoms such as night sweats, hot flushes, sleep disturbances, sexual dysfunction and changes in mood.  For some women the unwelcome symptoms can carry on for years, making life very challenging.

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is a common treatment for menopausal symptoms, but it's not suitable for everyone and it can have side effects, such as increased risk of breast cancer.  Because of this many women are turning to alternatives, looking to manage symptoms in a more natural way.

The purpose of this blog is not to repeat what's already out there, but to signpost you to resources that I have found to be some of the most helpful when it comes to managing the uncomfortable symptoms of menopause.  These links will provide you with tips for diet and lifestyle, as well as information on various supplements - vitamins, minerals and herbs - that can be very supportive during menopause*.

*IMPORTANT - If taking prescription medication you should always check with your doctor/pharmacist before taking any supplements in case of contraindications.
